The OPS® ART of Prodimed® features:

• A single channel needle, triple-bevelled, with a 5 mm grooved echogenic zone before the bevelled tip.

• A thin tubing connecting the needle to a bung. The latter is fitted onto a Falcon® type collecting tube.

• A three-way valve (for the model concerned) to choose between aspiration or rinsing of the follicles.

• A vacuum tube connecting the bung to the aspiration source.

The complete sets (needle + tubing) provide adapted storage conditions for the oocytes during the collection, particularly being able to maintain the vials at an appropriate temperature using heating systems. The resilient properties of polyurethane ensure flexibility without kinking for a regular flow rate, with no loss of suction.

The specific quality of steel and polishing techniques improve the needle’s handling and sliding motion. The grooved circular markings provide echogenicity very close to the bevel.
